Pet Portraits

Pet portraits are the thing I’m asked for most, and I make them two ways, as a little felted figure you can hold or as a watercolour painting for the wall. Either way I work from your own photos, so it’s your pet and nobody else’s.

Felted in Wool From £35

I build each portrait up by hand, layer by layer, until the markings and the tilt of the head look right, and then it sits on a natural wood slice base. They make lovely gifts, and a lot of people ask me for one as a keepsake to remember a pet they’ve lost.

Prices start at £35 and depend on the size and how much detail there is, and I’ll always tell you the cost before I start.

Painted in Watercolour From £35

I also paint pets in watercolour, either a portrait of their face or a little scene of the two of you out together, like the walks below. Paintings start at £35 too and the price depends on the size, so send me the photo you’d like painted and I’ll let you know.

People and Pets Together

I make people as well, couples and whole families with their dog or cat beside them, and there are a few in the shop to give you an idea. See the people and pets I’ve made.

How It Works

1

Send Me Your Photos

A few clear photos showing your pet’s face, their body shape and any markings help me the most, and for a painting just send the one you’d like me to paint.

2

I’ll Give You a Price

Once I’ve seen them I’ll let you know the cost and timing, which is usually around two weeks, because I often need to buy in wool to match your pet’s colours.

3

Collect or Post

I’ll send you progress photos along the way and let you know when it’s ready to collect or have posted to you.
